Due to this, the sage Vashistha ordered the aggrieved king Dasharatha to perform the Kameshthi Yagna. As a result of this Yagna, three queens received the son Ratna under King Dasharatha.

And Lord Rama was born from the womb of King Dashrath's first wife Kaushalya. King Dasaratha's three other sons were Bharata, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna.
