International Day of Yoga is also known as World Yoga Day. On 11th December 2014, The United Nations General Assembly has declared 21 June as International Yoga Day.

Government Announced because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this Year International Yoga Day 2020 to be celebrated on digital media platforms On June 21, 2020.

In 2020 the theme will be 'Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family'. Individuals will have the option to join Yoga Day festivities essentially at 7 am on June 21 and last for 45 minutes.

For India contenders, prizes worth Rs 1 lakh, 50K, and 25K will be given for first, second and third places inside every one of the classes. Abroad Indian Missions will part with prizes in every nation.

At the worldwide level, money prizes worth $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 alongside trophies and authentication will be given to those positioning first, second, and third.

Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddh, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations said the video blogging contest will give us a tremendous measure of tribute which will help us in getting the message out about yoga and its general advantages wellbeing insightful as well as towards the way to deal with human life too.

He said it will also bring to the fore the multiple facets of yoga. Yoga isn't only physical action, it likewise has to do with physical and enthusiastic wellbeing and individuals will share the advantages they have realized.
